Протјерати или не протјерати Арапе? Однос Давида Бен-Гуриона према Арапима у Палестини

Турбулентни однос Јевреја и Арапа на територији Палестине у посљедњих стотину година, осим кроз праћење историјских, социолошких, политиколошких и културолошких процеса, може се посматрати и кроз призму дјеловања најпроминентнијих политичара. «Отац нације», Давид Бен-Гурион спада управо међу најконтроверзније и најутицајније политичаре, чије је дјеловање уткано у срж формирања савремене националне јеврејске државе на територији Палестине, из чега управо проистичу блиске интеракције са Арапима. Рад се базира на компаративној анализи литературе коју је продуковао сам Бен-Гурион, те биографске и изворне грађе, која говори о његовом односу према арапском питању, то ком разних фаза политичког дјеловања. Анализирају се и манипулације чувеним Бен-Гурионовим, руком писаним писмом сину Амосу, од 5. октобра 1937. године, у коме му говори о препорукама Пилове комисије, из јула 1937. године, којима се предвиђа подјела мандатне територије Палестине на Израелску и Палестинску државу, што је подразумијевало пресељавање великог броја арапског становништва са територија које су биле предвиђене за формирање јеврејске државе. Разни аутори тумаче Бен-Гурионов однос према Арапима у распону од врло антиарапског до помирљивог. Сами Бен-Гурионови записи такође пружају могућност различитог тумачења, те је у том смислу циљ рада, да у највећој могућој мјери расвијетли размишљања и дјеловање овог политичара према арапској популацији.
